Products for getting rust marks off my brand new stainless steel sink!

We are renovating our kitchen, and I have a lovely, lovely new stainless steel sink. The rest of the kitchen is still in disarray, with little to no worktop space.

So I opened a can of beans, and left the empty can in the sink, with the intention of rooting out some black bags to bin them in.

Of course I got distracted, picked up the tins ages later and there are rust rings in my sink! How do I get rid of these without scratching the sink??

Raw onion . Cut it in half and rub it over it leave it on it for a few mins then keep rubbing it off.

Bar Keepers Friend. The best product I have EVER bought. Gets rid of marks that the likes of Mr Muscle don't even touch. You can buy it in Tesco now.

Oooh, that's a good tip, I'll try the onion.
Will pop out and get some Bar Keepers Friend if that doesn't work.

Hopefully I'll get the mark off before DH is back from work, he will not be impressed :)

Trust me, once you've used Bar Keepers Friend you will NEVER go back!!!! (just had mine out now to take off some rust I discovered on my lovely shiny towel rails!) ...also brilliant for cleaning up dirty grouting, removing crap from the inside of the oven door, cleaning UPV....I could go on....My Dad swears by it now and can't believe it took him til 65 to discover it!

elbow grease,not being cheeky you get it in semi-chem it comes in a spray bottle its like magic, wasent expecting much but it removed rust from my bathroom shelving unit. its about a pound
