How do I defrost my freezer?

This is probably a very stupid question.

Its a combination fridge-freezer thing and is integrated which means I can't find an on-off switch for the whole fridge-freezer let alone just the freezer compartment. Ideally I want to keep the fridge on and just defrost the freezer. How can I do this without switching off the circuit at the fuse box??

Just leave the freezer door open .

Ah, as simple as that.

I blame newborn baby brain. Read I should do one piece of housework a day in the initial stages and picked this today but perhaps it was all too much for me...

There should be a switch on the wall surely? There is for our integrated fridge.

Couldn't find a switch anywhere. Very strange but not the first oddity in this house to be fair. In the end DD decided she wanted me all to herself all day again so it will have to be done tomorrow. Ho hum.
