What do you keep your peelings, tea bags, for recycling etc in?

And what do you line it with?

How mucky is it to clean out every time?

I want something fairly pleasant to look at, to sit on my kitchen worktop AND functional.

I use something like this:-

www.amazon.co.uk/Stainless-Steel-Storage-Jar-Transparent/dp/B006L04R84/ref=sr_1_61?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1341047776&sr=1-61

I line it with re-cycling food bags or newspaper if I've run out - after empyting I put it in the dishwasher, so very easy to keep clean.

Oooooohhh.......thank you reliablemillipede, but I can't 'do' silver metal. It sets my teeth on edge!

I use one of these lined with the biodegradable bags provided by our local council. i've also seen similar in Sainsbury's. www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/60154805/

Ceramic crock from Lakeland, lined with biodegradable compost bags. Carbon filter disk in the lid. Does the job and looks pretty too Smile
