4 slice toaster needed

Bought 2 x kenwood miro 4 slice toasters in the past year, both went bang within a couple of weeks Angry Have been using oven grill since but having managed to burn 9 slices in one (particularly bad) morning this week I've had enough and decided I need a new toaster.

I have a dualit hand blender and it's useless - pebble dash my kitchen and myself virtually every time I attempt to use it, was really hacked off because it cost a lot. So I'm not keen to buy a dualit but want something solid and long lasting. Any suggestions?

Did you take them back? They shouldn't have done that.

I know you said you didn't want Dualit but we've got a 4 slice one and had it for years and it's great.

On the other hand my Mum bought a cheap one from Asda and it's still going strong.

Thanks uksky, I sent the first back to amazon but didn't get round to it with the second, it's gone off to the tip now as dh got fed up of it gathering dust. So annoying!

I know dualit started out with toasters, I wonder whether they do them better than the blenders. I noticed that there are some circa £70 rather than £170. Are they worth trying?

I have a four slice dualit toaster and I'd highly recommend it. We've only had it just over a year, but we've had no issues with it at all .

Thanks retireddj, which one did you go for? Wondering if the plastic/metal combo one is worth a try?

Dualit here to. Love mine - especially for toasted sandwiches!

we have a morphy richards one that has lasted for years. Argos has quite a big selection and some of them are on offer too.

Thanks for this thread - you've just reminded me that I fancy some toast (sidles off to make some)

These are on offer in Argos in cream or red.
