I can't afford designers and always love other people's cosy family places. Mine just feels like a mix of stuff I don't actually like and I am not creative at all , I try but it looks worse. Would feng shui help? We have lots of problems and it seems we don't even liked being sg home, i am secretly horrified at how I feel, I made it that way... but it feels like some one else's horrible interior house. Any tips??? Anyone else feel the same ANC have a solution ..

A well placed cushion, throw or lamp can make a difference...family photos in lovely frames grouped together on a shelf or side table, a scented candle, an orchid, a new rug, a large mirror..... All can add to an air of homeliness. You could even google some images for inspiration.

Yes, I have done this, and if you apply the principles in a Western way it actually makes a home feel quite pleasant. Have a look at some of my blog posts in the 'Making a home' category, for example this one on 'Refinements in the Home'.

If you use the Form School of Feng Shui it is easier to do than the Compass School, by the way.
