Any idea on how to get rid of the smell?, it is in our inherited shed and I want to turn it into a play house for the kids but need to get rid of the smell first, any ideas?!

Nope.

The long answer is, I don't think it is possible. True creosote has been off the domestic market for many years now as it is hazardous to health. So it should have dried out by now as much as it is going to. If it still smells I think it always will. If you press your finger hard against it, you will probably find your finger smells.
