Oven pride, it comes with a bag to put the shelves in, they come out like new, you can also do the inside of the oven

You don't need to buy any oven cleaner, nasty chemicals...what you need is a simple brillo pad!
Did my oven yesterday with one and its the only thing that really gets all the black off. The inside glass is now clear!

I'm sure I read somewhere about soaking the oven tray in bio washing powder - is that right? So you need loads and how do you do it, with hot water? And how long for??

Oven pride is awesome. No scrubbing needed at all! I do mine once a month because DH can't cover anything when he cooks to there's crap all over the oven Angry

My DH is the same. Ditto with the microwave. Drives me bloody potty!

AllOverIt · 15/06/2012 16:11

Yes! The microwave is a nightmare too. Drives me insane Angry

I just did Oven Pride....and wow. Oven looks like new. It's a bit of a faff to do but do worth it. Now that it's back to looking good, I'm gonna get stern with DH and ensure everything is lined in foil or covered.

But I know that if it goes pear shaped, that oven pride can help. By the way, found it for £3.99 in Morrisons. It was £6.49 in Homebase, so worth shopping about.

Wire wool and cif. Works better then brillo pad.
