I have a fan oven and the bits that get hot ( technical me ) have started smoking whenever I turn the oven on. Any ideas on how to clean / fix ?

When was the last time it was cleaned herethereeverywhere? It's just that, over time - and not too much time, I might add Wink the build up of cooking oils will leach itself to the inside. Then, when the oven gets piping hot... it will smoulder and stink!

We have changed to high smoke (or is it low smoke?) cooking oils, and I am currently using this from Tesco - £2.29 ish. This reduces the smoke levels. Also, I do try n give the oven a lick n a promise wipe round every other week.

Good luck, hope you come out alive!!! Shock Grin

Obviously inside the oven they might not be removable but you can still use the same instructions

I actually cleaned the oven the other week but have done a roast in it since then so that may not have helped. Confused

I didn't realise you could clean the element things Blush oops getting my rubber gloves on for tomorrow then for a good scrub. O the glamour!

Thanks for your help!
