is it worth me buying one? ( old kenwood has given up the ghost) i'm sorely tempted but it is a lot of money - also if you already have one which additional attachments are the best to get? thanks in advance

I just couldnt justify it, despite me being in love with them. I bought new kenwood, attachments are much cheaper and got great deal at currys.

Personally, I'd get my old Kenwood repaired. I thought mine had died a few years ago but managed to get it repaired for about 30 quid. I was put off a kitchenaid by my friend who has managed to get through 3 (!!) as they couldn't cope with bread dough, which I make a lot of.

I love my Kitchenaid Artisan, it's just fab. Cakes are now so much lighter. And pancakes! And it's coped admirably with bread dough, even large quantities.

Can't afford any of the attachments, but would love the pasta one...
