Ground in mud on a white t-shirt

Just found DD's PE shirt covered in mud. Popped it in the machine on a 60 degree wash and it's exactly the same as when it went in. Does any kind MNer have a trick to get it out?

sorry,. throw it and get a cheap one from a super market, despite what detergent manufacturers would have you believe by the time you bought spent time, effort, stress, you could have just bought a new one. PE = cheap t-shirts.

If it's our bloody red sand nothing shifts it everAngry

Unfortunatly it has to have school logo on so can't get her a cheap one and yes it is red sand - clay like colour. Tried bleach, didn't work. She is just going to have to wear it - tough, it's her own fault for messing in mud.

Leave it on the line in the wind and rain for a few days.

Soak in vanish

If that fails, boil it in a saucepan on the hob with some washing powder dissolved in the water
