Never had a problem like this before and the house is clean -but we only moved in a few months ago and there are lots of boxes of stuff around etc.

Just saw a mouse run past me in our bedroom!!! I am almost 39 weeks' pregnant and with 2 young dcs already ... what shall I do?? I didn't realise I would panic like this but it's giving me contractions. I can't bring a baby into a house like this! I was just in the middle of all my preparations ... and it ran in and out of the hospital bag I was just putting together!!!!!

Oh god, I feel for u! Doesn't matter how clean the house is once they're in, they are in!! U need to work fast cos they breed quickly! u can either put poison down and they'll go and die somewhere or put traps down. I went for the cheap snap ones and put a bit of chocolate on the end. They love chocolate!

Hope this helps and u get the problem sorted!

let your dp/dh deal with this.

I have pest control people coming within the hour.

This is crazy - I have stuff everywhere as it is as I am right in the middle of sorting stuff out from the house move / nesting / preparing for the baby.. I'm scared to do anything now.

Does anyone know how harmful it could be to me or the baby? (i.e. mouse dropping etc.) - I haven't seen any evidence apart from the one mouse, but surely there must be somewhere!

How long does it take to sort the problem out??

DH can't deal as he is crazy busy with work and to top it all off has come down with a stomach bug.

He wasn't even in last night when I saw the mouse.

Good luck. Pest Control dealt with mouse problem in our house and they died within a couple of days. Pest control came back a week later to check.

I was not involved as I'm scared of mice.

I had them in my last place. Pest control put poison runs down. They loved them. I got a spring trap, and like er1507, put chocolate down. Caught four of the little fuckers in 3 days, then never had a problem.
