Vanish carpet powder

Does it actually work?
Have a grubby carpet but cannot afford to get professionals in.

It worked for me, gave carpet a 'brightness' and lifted the pile. Didn't have any bad stains or anything, I find vanish foam works well on anything like that.
Would recommend giving the carpet a thorough coating of the powder - mine is approx 15ft square and I used the whole cannister on it. Found it easy to vac up after the recommended time, and the carpet wasn't left damp. I would def use it again.

I used it too and brings up the trapped dust that the Hoover can't get, was really pleased with the results.
