I am getting a new fridge/freezer tomorrow, do I need to leave it for a certain amount of time before switching it on? Thanks

once in its place, 24 hours is the rule I think - to let the refrigerant (? or something!) settle Smile

otoh, have just googled & lots of people say that if it has been shipped upright (& why wouldn't it be? Confused who would lie a fridge down???) 4 hours is enough.

I left mine for 24 hours anyway (still had old ones to keep the food in though)

Thanks I have a tiny kitchen and I really don't want 2 fridge/freezers in it at once Smile
Once I plug it in can I put my stuff in it straight away or do I need to wait for it to cool down? sorry I can't remember what I done the last time
