Calpol on my cream carpet

DS was so poorly and feverish last week that we had to fight hard to get a spoon of Calpol into him with the result that I now have a big Calpol stain on my carpet as proof of his victory over us in at least one Calpol battle.

Any tips for removing it? Anyone had any success with carpet stain removal products?

Maybe vanish spray? Or baby wipes?

Maybe wait for someone more knowlegable

Second the Vanish idea - one day I will find a stain that it can't tackle, but it's done everything so far, from carrot juice to foundation.
