Only keep the stuff you absolutely need and will use, get rid of anything you can do without.
Just by having more space and having a proper place for everything will go most of the way to sorting it out

I keep little jars of pots of things in punnets/old ice cream tubs according to themes eg baking, cake decorating, mediterranean herbs, indian spices, cake spices etc so I can find them easily. It makes cleaning the cupboards quicker too.

Keep your little jars and rubs in plastic tubs without lids, and then you can lift them out of cupboards very easily, and find things without rummaging.

There's some good ideas here Martha Stewart website. Some of it's a bit extreme but burrow a bit and you'll find some useful tips.

I have these, I quite often leave my cupboard doors open just to look at how neat they areGrin

Agree with others - just by getting rid of everything that has passed its sell-by date and/or that you don't use, you will make space.

I am utterly ruthless about having very little in my kitchen!
