black out curtains, best place to buy?

i'm looking for blackout curtains for our bedroom and DC's bedroom. few diferent sizes due to different windows.

best value for money and worth it?

when my mum needed black out curtains she went to the nearest material shop and bought a whole load of black out lining and just sewed the top over, put some string through and tied to a few nails in the wall!
seemed pretty cheap, and mine are still going strong 13 years later!

thats my other option, its just finding the right fabric!

I just bought 5m of blackout fabric from eBay for £16. Very pleased with it, and it's stopped my 5wk old daughter waking with the sunrise. Grin

if you go into a fabric shop and ask im sure the people will know exactly what you need! :)

I got black out from dun elm was quite reasonable, I sewed Velcro to it and stuck velcro round the window. No light at all, best thing ever.
