Slimline Dishwashers?

I'm trying to re-plan my kitchen and have come across a slimline dishwasher that fits 8 place settings. We currently have a full size one, would I miss the extra capacity?

We're a family of 3, soon to be 4 and don't really entertain or anything like that. Most of the time we put the dishwasher on every other day and it kind of annoys me that I'm waiting to fill it.

What do you think - would it be a stupid choice?

I've had one for 8 years, we are also a family of four. I run it most days and we have managed fine with it. I think I had it on twice on Christmas day, with lots of extra plates, pans etc.

I'd much rather have the slimline than nothing.

I've never had a full size one, but our Bosch slimline is now 10 years old and has been merrily serving our family of four for years now.

Yes, I do find that we have to use it every day, and sometimes it doesn't fit everything in, so you may need to wash up the extra bits... but on a day to day basis, it suits us perfectly.

I had a 600mm dishwasher for years but when kitchen was replaced I got a 500mm and notice very little difference other than I may be less likely to whack all the big pans in it and wash some by hand.

I've got a slimline and can never get plates AND saucepans in it. I always wash up the saucepans. A full size dishwasher looks cavernous compared to mine - I would much rather that.

BTW I can't get anything in mine at the moment. Its broken. Again. Don't buy Rangemaster.

Sounds fine :)

I wish we could get ours plumbed in!
