Is there anything that will get mould off a buggy please?

DH left it in the shed. I have given it a good wash down and some has come off but not all. It is just spots/marks rather than growths

i have heard good things about dettol mould and mildew remover.

haven't used it myself yet but i am going to get some to clean my double buggy before it goes on ebay.

I will see if we have any, thank you.

I have sprayed the buggy and now I have to wait 5 minutes. Hopefully it won't smell of bleach!

We used milton (or actually supermarket equivalent) to soak the baby seat from the garden swing in as it had loads of black mould (this was a recommendation from a friend who had also done it).

It came up beautifully and didn't damage it at all - not sure how it would be on buggy fabric though (thinking would it discolour it at all?).

JustFab · 17/05/2012 13:21

It didn't work. Damn.

What buggy is it? I have taken a few totally apart and washed in the machine with bio. Came out like new. I have done this with my Maclaren (mouldy from garage) and maxicosi car seat (ditto).

Can't recommend it enough. You have nothing to loose.

Have a look at HG Mould Remover on Amazon. It's supposed to be the bees knees.

I love taking buggys totally apart and washing them, they look brand new again :)

I would try vanish oxy action. I tried it on my dh white shirt that had gotten mouldy, worked a treat.

I used cotton buds (ie. the stick things) dipped in bleach and treated each mould spot separately. Worked a charm!

It is a Maclaren. I have told the mum it isn't usable but I will ask her if she wants me to have another go.

I have got the cover off but can't get the hood off. Can anyone tell me what option to wash the seat part on and how to get the hood off please?

Cover washed. Hood off and has had a bath. Everything is on the line so I will just have to wait and see if it has come clean. Thanks for the tips.
