Can we have a gentle "today I will" thread?

I have been suffering from some pregnancy blues this past few days, I have discovered the best way to tackle this is to not let it get me in a slump, so today I am not going to wallow in bed until the school run (both ways) I have some things to do so I will list them here and use it to spur me on to get (at least some of) them done. :)
Feel free to join me.

Put a load of laundry on
Take the kids to school
Pop into Tesco for the ingredients for dinner

Prepare dinner and put in fridge
Put away laundry
Call Tax Credits
Call hospital
Eat lunch! (this is a biggie because I've been forgetting to eat Blush)

I think that is it. Nothing huge but enough to keep me going until 2pm when I have to collect my Nan, deliver her home and then come and get the children, when I will put in the dinner. :)

I find I work a lot better if I have a plan to follow, left to my own devices, I drift.

I've finished the shoes box. That led meti sort out hats and belts which led me to sort out my jewellery box and make up. I managed to condense 5 drawers into one box. I have a black back for the charity shop and one for the bin.

I am in a brutal mood today! Binned stuff I've had for years but not touched for so long.

I think I'll do a daily list. It's really helped me thinking about what I have left to do.

Just having lunch and a cuddle with ds. I think he's feeling a bit ignored!

I have had lunch, and my oomph seems to have deserted me. The house looks loads better than it did when the boys left for school though. Smile

I am really pleased with how I'm going. Office is done apart from the shredding (started but it's a slow job so I pop in to do a handful in between other jobs) and all the tricky bits of our bedroom are done - hoovered and dusted behind furniture, under bed etc, dusted all furniture, now just need to hoover the usual bit of the floor we always hoover :o and put everything back in its place

Sparklingbrook · 17/05/2012 15:29

Under things? behind things? Thats extreme vacumming Stealth. Shock

StealthPolarBear · 17/05/2012 15:36

Oh yes! I even moved our rickety old chest of drawers, behind which I found an Alice in wonderland costume, a load of junk and about 2in of dust!

Sparklingbrook · 17/05/2012 15:58

I bet you vacumm was Shock

tootssweet · 17/05/2012 18:06

Feeling little bit better did everything but the hoovering - ds had nap & I may have joined him for a bitBlush

I actually managed most of my list bar packing the books. And I only put 3 things up for sale (which all sold quickly :) )

But I did quite a lot more surprisingly.

DC at away to nannies Friday night so I get to pack the rest of their rooms in peace!

You've all been busy Smile

I have:

called the Dr
been to the dr
been to hospital for blood test
Painted nails
found a cake recipe
shopping (lemons, party food)
plant veg in the garden
hoovered
1 load of washing
taken DS to the park
made cookies

Tomorrow:
back-up my phone and photos
back-up my computer
more shopping (party rings & more box files)
READ my book.

My living room no longer looks pristine, and no one has mentioned how lovely the understairs cupboard now looks. Hmmph. Sad

StealthPolarBear · 18/05/2012 08:35

I have broken the shredder :(
Other than that, all I have to do is finish tidying the children's toys, and hoover the whole house (wanted to get the shredding done before that!) and bits and bobs like wrapping presents.
Unfortunately today I also have to do work!

StealthPolarBear · 18/05/2012 08:36

Sparkling, your understairs cupboard looks lovely - have you tidied it?

Sparklingbrook · 18/05/2012 08:40

Why thank you Stealth indeed i have. Smile

TitsalinaBumSquash · 18/05/2012 09:15

Back again :)

Today I am stuck in waiting for the mechanic to come fix my little car, so I am hoping to ...

Call the company that supply DS's nebulisers.
Sort my medication cupboard
Sterilise all DS's medical supplies
Do the dishes

Continue with the laundry
Order some more thread for my sewing projects.
Change all the beds.

First a cuppa and a sit down after a sleepless night.

I don't care what I do as long as I wash the kitchen floor this evening.
