Have just discovered our shower has leaked through the sealant and over time has caused a leak which has now grown some delightful looking bleurgh all over my carpet. (it was under the bed so hadn't noticed until now!)
I have spoken to the insurance co and it is likely to be an insurance job 
however as we were going to do some work at somepoint we would have had to buy some new carpet anyway at somepoint (we think though not sure). Am a bit gutted as it isn't very old as when we moved it the carpet was about as scummy as you got so we did a quick change without thinking 
but to make it more palatable to walk on barefoot!
Anyway, am not sure how to get rid of this "mould" and even if we do eventually end up replacing said carpet via insurance it isn't going to happen overnight and the carpet is a bit smelly now we have moved the bed and sort of yellowy white vomity looking 
I have to smile as otherwise I think I might cry!
Any tips oh knowledgeable housekeeping guru's?
