Help.....How do I get rid of a dried-in hot chocolate stain

Ok I have dried-in hot chocolate on a white shirt. I've looked online and am now confused. I don't know if it needs hot water, cold water, milk? One article even said if I wash it in my machine it will set forever. (I've had this before with chocolate mini-milks and it never came out so I don't want to take any chances!) can anyone tell me what will work? Thanks

Start with cold water - heat does set stains, so avoid it if you can. I'd soak it in cold water for half an hour or so, then try a bit of detergent and rub it to see if that does the trick. If not, then lukewarm water and something like Biotex or Vanish.

Thank you. I'll give that a go tonight.
