I need a new routine/general outline to structure my day. If you can share yours it would help.

Give us a clue how old the children are?

I have 4, ages 2-8, I also stay home with the toddler - the rest are at school.

I'm only a SAHM on three days a week as I work the other days, but my routine is this sort of thing....

Get up, washed, dressed and have breakfast. Do kids' breakfast, take packed lunches out of the fridge and put bags on the buggy. Check everyone's clean and do girls' hair. Clear kitchen and put dishwasher/washing machine on and then take kids to school and DD to preschool.

When I get back, I generally sit down and have a cup of tea before unloading dishwasher and sorting the washing. I then focus on something-either changing beds/dusting/sorting out cupboards/mopping floors and do that. I don't have a set day for doing things (and do washing/hoovering/clean bathrooms pretty much every day) I just do whatever I think needs doing the most!

I'll then often go out somewhere and do whatever I need to-shops/library/bank/post office and then come back and collect DD from preschool at 12. Not much happens between then and collecting the others at 3.30, but she starts school in September so my house should be uber-organised then!!
