Boil/hot wash help!!

I am just after some reassurance I think? DD and DS love the great outdoors, but the muck that comes back on their clothes makes me shudder as most of the time it won't wash out properly. Will putting the clothes on a boil wash shrink everything? Too terrified to try as cannot afford to replace their stuff if I shrink it all. DD wears lots of leggings, will this affect advice? would really appreciate advice.

Yes, it will.

Soak really dirty things in a bucket with warm/hot water and biological powder for at least 4 hours.

Machine rinse, then wash as normal.

Neat washing up liquid works wonders on grass stained knees.

You can also use the pre-wash cycle on your machine.
