Getting biro off a kindle?

Someone else's delightful 3yo has scribbled all over my kindle screen in a biro. What could I use to try and remove it without damaging the screen?

Doesn't hairspray get biro off leather? Mist a bit on then wipe with cotton wool...

I'd try hairspray, but I would steal get a 'printer cleaner' card thing from work. That disolves even permanent pen magically.

meths cleans off ballpoint ink, but you mustn't get it inside the works. Maybe a drop on a Q-tip?

test a corner of the screen first in case it damages the plastic.

I would contact Amazon kindle customer services. They should have some idea of what is safe to use.
