Wool duvets

I am needing some new bedding and had read good things about wool duvets; do any of you honest and good people have any experience of them?

Will I be itching all night? Or does the best and cosiest night's sleep awaits me?

I got Baavets ( I kid you not!) for 2 of my childrens' beds last summer & they have been on their beds all through the winter (usually their feather duvets come out when it turns chilly). They seem to be really good. The only problem that we did have with them is when we first got them was the farmyard stink! I hung them out on the washing line to air for a few days, but the smell - although not as strong - was still around for a few weeks until gradually disappearing.
Fogarty do a wool one, but the wool is supposed to be encased in polypropolene (or something like that), thought that defeated the whole point of natural fibres myself which is why I got the Baavets for them. Also wanted to support British & the Baavets are manufactured (from sheep to duvet) on a Welsh farm.
I've got a Mulberry silk one for our bed - & that is really fab! Again that's been on all through the winter, though I suspect that if we'd had lots of snow, the down one would probably have come out.
Hope that helps.
