Smelly carpet thanks to my dog

Ive heard you can't use shake n vac powder with a dyson, so is there anything I can use to clean my carpet other than to pay a bomb for professional cleaning?

yes you can or you can use bi carb of soda mixed in with some lavender and make your own shake and vac...leave it on for about an hour, then vaccuum

shake and vac is scented bicarb, so why can you use one and not the other?
