DS used Dyson and now it won't go upright

I made my DS (14) vacuum the stairs yesterday with the hose attachment, and then vacuum the landing.

Mistake.

And some point he managed to unleash hell on the Dyson, and now it won't go upright. I don't want to force it. Any ideas?

And there's still cat hair on the stairs.... Grin

We got our elderly DC01 into a state that sounds similar to yours. We phoned the Dyson service department who said 'oh. we haven't seen that one - let's try', got theirs into the same state, mended it, then told us how to deal with ours. All down the phone - fantastic service!

Yes customer service is excellent, they will tell you what to do.

If your teenage DS is like mine he prob broke it on purpose so you never ask him again, I'm wise to that now!

My old hoover ended up like that.

I just learnt to always prop it up against something.

Cat hair on stairs, best thing for that is for your DS to don a pair of dry rubber gloves and stroke the stairs quite vigorously. Sounds nuts but you will be disgusted at how much crap comes out. Much, much more effective than the Hoover....

I am suspicious of the convenient breakage, too, farsideoffucking balloons.

Do you remember what you were adbise to do, honu? Did it involves taking bits apart?

Well, skinny, it's slumped up in the hallway at the moment looking fairly languid.

Sleepy, thanks for that tip. Sounds good. I expect DS will develop an allergy now or somesuch. Grin

Sorry, advised.

Thanks, the Dyson site was helpful and although there was a little bit too much brute force required for my liking, it's upright again. Smile

Just hope I haven't broken it in some new way.
