Can someone help me change my watch battery PLEASE?

I have a horrible old watch with a cracked face, but the battery is still working,so I want to put it in my other watch in which the battery has run out.

Really don't want to resort to a jewellers or whatever, but I cannot get the blasted back off one of them (the other had a little notch I managed to get one of my tiny screwdrivers into).

Has anyone got any advice or tricks of the trade to help me,Please??

TIA

look round the edge of the metal back of the watch, if it is a fairly standard watch there will be a little notch that you can get the tip of a stanley knife blade under to flip it off. you will then see either the battery in front of you or a round piece of white plastic covering the battery that you can just lift off using the tip of a stanley knife blade

be aware that watch batteries come in many different sizes, so there is no guarantee the battery will fit, but hopefully both your watches will take one of the standard sizes

if you do need to get a new battery put whatever numbers are on the front of the dead battery, followed by "button battery" into ebay or google and a cheap one for sale should hopefully appear!!! :)

Excellent rainbow. Thanks! I'm not sure if there was a notch,on this one but I may have found it - however it seems I may have more success with a stanley knife blade (I was racking my brains trying to think of something with a slim sharp point!)

If the battery is different at least its nothing lost. Smile
