Extra large pasta/rice storage

I normally buy those 3kg bags of penne and large bags of rice. I would like something to store them in that will take the whole bag, but is reasonably attractive. I saw some large stainless steel tubs in tk maxx that would have been ideal, but didn't buy them for some reason and now can't find anything similar!

Has anyone seen anything?

A couple of years ago I was given two empty tall amaretti biscuit containers, one of which stores pasta and the other rice. They look pretty enough in the corner of the kitchen.

I buy 5kg bags on rice. The only thing I find that are remotely attractive and can store such large bags are these metal buckets from ikea. I have a green one, but it seems to be discontinued. It's only in silver, white and black now.

That's along the right lines onelittlebaby, my only concern would be the seal on that, it doesn't look as if it would be airtight?

Thanks reliable, they're too small though.

I've seem lots of pet food storage that's the right size, is airtight, but not attractive and I'm not sure whether they'd be food grade iyswim!

Trixy it's not airtight sadly. But the lid seems heavy enough and we haven't had visits from rice weevils yet. Touch wood.

this would be ideal if it didn't say dog food on and was in the UK!!

this is the sort of thing I use for my bulk flour for the bread machine - so hard to find though. Maybe hunt around a few plastic box shops?
