hi, been MiA a bit in good housekeeping but still flying.

DH has to repair his bicycle one night on way home. he has a paid of very expensive wash at 30degrees seal bike gloves, he has now presented these ti me to ask how to clean them.

Help! I have no idea and as they rely on their waterproofness don't want to do anything to damage them. Grateful for good ideas.

Do you know anything about what they are made of? Do they have a DWR-finish? You can get special detergents for those, might be what you need, though I think even regular non-bio should be okay. Ordinary goretex can be washed in bio.

DH would just sponge them down with swarfega.

I put my dh's seal gloves in the machine with a waterproof washing liquid and they come out fine. My dh carries a pair of latex gloves with him if he needs to do any repairs to save on knackering the expensive ones!

I bet he wishes he'd kept the manufacturer's care instructions.

Tell him to look on the glove co's website.
