PigletJohn - How do you wash the miele filters?

Saw on the other thread re: dustbags that you can wash the filters.
How do you do this? Does a straightforward rinse in water work well?

I put in the sink with warm water and WUL, slosh about and leave a bit. Some dirt washes out straight away, and visible grey particles settle out in the water after a while.

Drain and leave flat to dry.
