What is the one thing you couldnt live without in your kitchen? Its my friend's 40th birhtday in a few weeks and would love to get her something small but amazing. She is a real foody, who loves to cook making whole feasts for her lucky family (her typical comment would be that she can't come out with the girls as she is making a Spanish feast for her other half!). I don't have much cash so under £10 would be great. I'm a real baking freak and someone brought me a silicone baking mat a few years ago and I couldnt live without it. Saves my hours of cleaning up, making bread so much easier and i just love it. So something with a similar effect on your life if you are a foody.

those non-stick mats that you put on baking trays

you can cut them to size to line cake tins

biscuits / meringues come off so easily.... 100 X better than parchment
