how to make blinds white again

I have vertical blinds I live in rented flat so can't change them. I took them down and steam cleaned them today and they have come up great but any ideas how to get all the cords back to white

I used to soak mine in the sink in a mild bleach solution then gave them a good rinse.

I was thinking bleach but all my Windows are huge so would need to fill the bath, how long did u leave them steeping also I have a huge window in one of the bedrooms that is far to big for bath and a nightmare to clean so would be hard to steep this one any ideas for this one
And just to clarify when u say bleach do u just mean the reg stuff u put down your loo

I paint brushed mine with Milton.

Seemed to work okay - but would only be for white cords!

Wear rubber gloves and wet kitchen paper with a bleach solution ( teaspoonful in mug of water).

Wrap kitchen paper round cords.

Wrap cling film round this to stop drying out too quickly.

Leave overnight
