Does anybody have any idea how to get rid of them? My landlady is a moneygrubbing MONSTER (we are in Spain, sadly quite common) and is already threatening to take ALL our 3400 deposit for having the bad grace to be leaving at a time when she just wont be able to rent it out that easily.

I have scored the counter two or thre times and I must FIX them as she will use it as an excuse. HELP - im seriously considering buying a new counter if I cant fix.

What kind of counter is it?

It´s white lamninated thing prob from IKEA - rest of kitchen is IKEA - but over here an IKEA counter then delivery then assembly would costa fortuna! Trying to avoid....

Bought some porcelain filler, but its not really worked that well

If it is white laminate then it is possible to buy a new piece of white sheet laminate (not worktop) from a laminate merchant and glue it on top of the existing. Not everyone has done it often enough to make a good job of it.

Otherwise, DIY sheds and builders merchants sell worktop in 1, 2 and 3 metre lengths. White is the most common and the cheapest. You may need to consult a local joiner who fits kitchens It is not difficult, but it has to be cut precisely to size, and if the tiles come onto it, they might have to be replaced as well.

I would be inclined to start by trying a scratch remover as used to polish out scratches on car paintwork. You have probably heard of T-cut but there are others.
