Cake decorating question

Hi

Am decorating a cake tomorrow for dd's 9th birthday.
Basically I need to stick single kitkats so that they stand up around the edge of the cake. Would it be best to use butter or glace icing or anything else to do this?

Can you get to a cake decorating shop? If so buy some edible glue that the professionals use!
If not I would embed them through into the cake as icing may nt be strong enough!

I would think that butter icing would work - just make enough of it to go round - and make it chocolate, too, then it shouldn't show too much.

Butter icing will be fine.
