I hate cleaning my oven with a passion.
What is the best oven cleaner, I have used so many different things and nothing really makes me want to buy it again.
They are ether really strong and over powering and I don't want to cook anything in the oven after or ok smelling but don't seem to clean aswell.

Get someone in to clean your oven for you ;-)

CoffeeandChocolateplease · 25/04/2012 14:24

Oven Pride stuff in a bag. Put your oven shelves in the bag with some of the gloop, the rest of the gloop on your oven, leave for a few hours and it cleans up wonderfully. Says she who took three years before biting the bullet and cleaning her present oven with the stuff Blush. I am now a bit better since discovering it!
I haven't noticed it smelling too strong either.

Get the man in. Wink

I had a lovely man in to clean ours last week. £50 to do the oven, all trays, and extractor. Sparkling clean in two hours. No brainer!

Yes, it is like having a brand new oven. He basically took the oven to bits and took it out to the van and it all came back in clean. Grin

I got a couple of quotes today for a profesional to come in and I am very very tempted - both say it will be done to a showroom standard and will do hobs/replace lights etc...

I have been given 2 prices - £89 and £60....both for exact same work...

now do i dare book it in and then claim to DH that it is all my own work

Sorry Iv not been back internets been playing upAngry
I'm loving the sound of the oven man, one question how often do you have it done or does it motivate to keep it clean.

Last time the black liquified fat started dripping from the base of the door DH cleaned it.

I don't clean ovens.

Surely all the hot temperatures kill any nasties?
