Any recommendations for a good one? Just think it would be good for odd crumbs, skirting boards etc. Do they come with soft brush attachments etc? How long does the average charge last.

TIA!

We have a Black & Decker Dustbuster and I love it! It has 3 (short, long and brush) nozzles and a charge does last a good long while (haven't timed it but we dont have a problem with it).

It had a charger that you can wall mount, otherwise it stands on its side. I woundlt be without one now - very usedful if you are as clumbsy as me and dont want to bring out the big hoover every time you drop a bag of sugar or spt a dusty skirting board.

I threw away my dustbuster, really hated it. The collection thing and filter were difficult to keep clean, food crumbs used to get stuck in it and go mouldy and it was incredibly noisy, also it was difficult to get off the charger, really stiff connectors. It did do a good job of cleaning though.

I use an old fashioned Bissel push along carpet sweeper now for stray crumbs, and an e cloth for skirting boards.

We have a mini wall-mounted Dyson that's continually on charge. It's fantastic and I use it all the time for stuff like you describe.

Hand held Dyson-expensive but so worth it. Does the car too

I bought a Vax one (not sure of the model but it's orange!) off Amazon the other day for about £34. It is fantastic, the suckiest one I've had.

I second the black and decker dustbuster. Have had mine for a few years and still going strong!

We have the purple dyson dc16 animal too and it really is fab. I meant to get one for years, but never got round to it and always wiped up the crumbs left under all the chairs after every meal with a cloth. Then my husband bought me the dyson hoover for xmas (nice!) - but actually it's been FANTASTIC!
