I am a throw away kind of a person, I throw away, charity shop and generally get rid of probably 2 or 3 bags of stuff a week, we dont buy much yet my house is taken over by stuff, I went to visit someone yesterdy and there house was all gorgeous and clutter free. every surface ends up covered in stuff the day after I cleared it. the dining table has to be cleared every meal time, and I dont just move stuff I put it away and shelves, dont get me started on shelves, the books or dvds are on them, then there is always piles of toys and moshi monster cards and disney cards and necklaces and every other type of ccrap imaginable in front of them. I just dont know where all this stuff comes from and it drives me potty. I want a lovely clutter free house. any tips if you are one of those people that has a lovely house that makes me jealous.

I wonder about 'stuff' too. Other people's houses just don't seem to be bursting at the seams like my house. Where is all their stuff?

We have so many books, toys and 'bits and pieces' that there are no tidy surfaces in the entire house.

When I think my house is lovely and tidy that is what my friend's house is like on a very bad day.

In fairness though I am not a throw it away type by nature but have been working on it.

I know I am getting so fed up of it, I might get a skip and throw away everything we own and start again from stratch, bet it would be just as bad in 2 weeks.

I'm contemplating a skip too. I have a habit of bagging things up for charity shop/recycling etc and then getting cold feet and taking things out in case I ever need them. With a skip once they are gone they are gone. Might be the only way for me.

I have loads of empty photo albums and hundreds photos in boxes but can't seem to find the time to sort them out into the albums.

It doesn't help that I have a 6 year old who is an avid collector of tiny things, shells, unusual pebbles, all sort of stuff.

It's chaos round here.

I've thought of just moving out, leave the 3 collectors to their collections and have myself a peacefully uncluttered abode somewhere. Is that a tad extreme?Confused

My house is full of crap too Hmm have started selling stuff on my local FB selling pages. It's great people paying and taking away for your crap Grin

Still have loads to do :( as we want to move this year. I don't know where my friends keep their crap, one friend has 3 young kids, gorgeous house and no clutter or crap in sight Confused
