Help! Removal of face paints from clothes

My daughter has got Snazaroo black face paint on a brand new top my Mum bought her. I've tried Vanish + Ariel in-wash stain remover but its not budging. Does anyone have any tried&tested tips please?

you could try rubbing a bit of washing up liquid into the stain with some water before rewashing it in the machine
