Can anyone recommend a good cylinder Hoover please?

My Hoover has just died!! ShockSad

I'm not honestly sure I can survive without it. I use it about 3 times a day.

I desperately need a very cheap but good Hoover, preferably a cylinder one because they're lighter.

Please help me.

Miele wipe the floor with the others.

Looking at "Which" best buys as you need a cheap one, the cheapest Best Buy cylinders are (cheapest first, and the % is their test score - a higher number is better)

Bosch
BSGL4000GB £90 71%

Bosch
BSGL3126GB Pro Energy £94 74%

Miele
S2111 Lava Grey £120 77% (and in other colours the same)

Miele
S6220 Cat & Dog £140 77%

Miele
S6210 Power £150 78%

can you see a pattern here?

I just had a look at the cheaper ones, they are not best buys but (highest scoring ones first)

Electrolux
Cyclonepower Pet ZSH721 £67 55%

Hoover
Capture TCP2011 £55 54%

and the other cheap ones score really rather low Sad

watching with interest as my Dyson has just died, it was second hand, no way could I afford a new one. Only have about £70 to spend.......

Miele cat and dog is fantastic - bought one last week from Comet who had them on offer. They are a Which Best Buy and I can see why. Stock up on bags though as we've discovered we fill the bag up faster than before! might have something to do with not really hoovering too much before as the old hoover was so bloody heavy Blush

Memoo "very cheap but good"

Choose any one of two.

I have a Henry. Paired with a turbo brush accessory (red with a brush inside which whizzes around very fast and picks up hair) it does the job well enough, and is not expensive.

Another vote for Miele Cat and Dog.
Still brilliant after 7 years.

Henry, without a doubt the best i've ever used. Had 2 vacuums within last few years with 'bagless technology' / turbo power / specifically for pets and none come close to Henry :)
