Which guide to Dishwashers?

Anyone around who wouldn't mind telling me which dishwashers Which recommend? Much appreciated!

Mine all seem to malfunction after about seven or eight years (hard water) but I absolutely loved my old Siemens

Dh replaced with posh Miele which was on offer and I loathe it (separate cutlery tray - very faddly - and v. awkward if cutlery drawer not near dishwasher) and because of extra level - doesn't fit in enough pans. It does wash well though I have to admit.

Asked advice of visiting dishwasher engineer who declared last one dead - and he said not worth paying the money for top, top models as the electrics are too complicated and there is more scope for things going wrong.

Thanks :). We also live in a hard water area and our old Bosch lasted 8 years (with a number of repairs). The dishwasher repair man recommended having Bosch again, even though the parts are expensive, so I think I'll do that.

What is your budget darling, can you tell me please, I can truly help you if you tell me. I've been using a lot of dishwasher, at the moment my husband bought me ianboer.com.au/washing/dishwashers/ , it is saying that it is a good brand quality dishwashing machine. It is about 2 years from the moment we bought it, and it is like new. It is not very expensive and it is washing all the dirt. I made such a test by putting a piece of paper inside a jar, and it was washed out. My neighbor made the same thing but the water didn't get inside the jar at all. Such a disappointment, because she bought it about 3 months ago .
