I have no idea about what goes together and what doesnt anymore.

If it helps i already have this wallpaper is duck egg even still in fashion, after renovating for a year everywhere was painted white as a base coat, so i thought this would be the 1st step to adding a little colour.
im not adverse to getting rid of it though, have 2 rolls and thought about doing the fireplace but have no idea about the rest of the room. im 8 months pregnant and havent got the inclination to search through paint charts, i just want someone to say this with that so i can go get them (without the cost of an interior designer bill) Smile

Why worry what's in fashion? Go with what you like and can find online and in the shops.

Who cares 'what's in' . It's what you like that matters. Grin

Why don't you use this wallpaper on the wall behind your bed to make it into a bit of a focal point. You could paint the rest of the room in the same duck egg blue - would have to get Dulux to match the colour or do Laura Ashley do matching paints? I'd go for a neutral carpet. To complete the pretty look why don't you get some simple blue floral bedding. The brighter blues in this bed linen will really bring your scheme to life. Also, see how the rattan bed "warms up" the scheme in the link, so might be an idea to try and find some warmer tones in say rattan or cherry wood furniture. Alternatively painted furniture would keep it all lovely and soft. Woodwork (doors and skirting boards) painted white will coordinate with the white bedlinen, which will really freshen it up too.

What would be worth thinking about is which way your bedroom faces, ie if it is north facing and doesn't get a lot of direct sunlight then this colour may make your room feel a little cold. Otherwise go for it!

I like your wallpaper. Just go for it. If you like it, decorate with it, if not... well expensive mistake. Grin
