Removable stair gate for sliding door

Hi there this is my first post on mumsnet so I hope someone can help!
I have 12 month old who is very active and walking and climbing all over the place.
We live on fourth floor in a flat with sliding doors from living room to a balcony (we'll be moving in the next 6 months as this is just one of the impractible elements of the flat and having a toddler!)
We need to be able to open the sliding door as it gets very hot in living room with sun streaming in and no other window. But need to stop ds from getting onto balcony (it is safe but he is such a climber we can't risk him going out there alone)
So does anyone have recommendation for a stair gate that is easy to remove and put back up again and also quite wide and that could potentially fit to sliding door rather than wall.
Please help!!! Thx

It doesn't have to be a stair gate, you can get various extendable and adjustable (shape and length gates) or room dividers which would be useful as versatile and may well fit your next house... hang on I'll see if I can find a link...

These sorts of things, various choices here

HTH - I don't have one myself but a couple of friends do and they are handy as they can also take them away if they go on hols to cottage or whatever, as not screwed in and multi fit, so work for lots of different spaces etc

Thank you that looks really helpful! Great idea as I hadn't thought of anything like that
