Hi DH and I are in the throes of "getting a grip" on life. we need a domestic chores timetable does any one have one? DH is a SAHD he does washing on mon and ironing tues. Tesco pretty much everyday Hmm other chores are hit and miss (mainly miss) . He sorts DS out for school, clubs evening etc. Checks the dog and I are fed and then that's it pretty much. Things like cleaning bathroom are pretty random, normally after nagging by me! As for wiping down woodwork etc ...it doesn't occur...... Please help I work full time and very long hours and this is all adding to my stress.. DH is very willing just clueless about household mangement by his own admission

ok. i will give you my timetable. i have worked long and hard on this one so that it suits our schedule. do not let any of that give you the impression that i actually stick to it though Grin

theoretical timetable for chez booyhoo

monday- bathrooms cleaned and floors washed
window and mirror cleaned
towels, flannels, bathmats washed
shopping done in evening while ds1 at scouts

tuesday-bedrooms cleaned and floors washed
mirrors and window cleaned
bedlinen and throws washed (boys' bedroom rug is machine washable too so it gets bunged in if there is room in machine)

wednesday- hall stairs and landing hoovered and mopped,
mirrors and glass in doors cleaned.
walls and doors wiped down (with mop) if grubby
dogs bedding and mats in washing machine

thursday-living room cleaned
window and mirror cleaned
floor hoovered and mopped
throws and cushion covers washed if necessary (we dont use that room so rare that they need it TBH)

friday- kitchen cleaned (i do fridge and microwave, oven occasionally not every week as i use tinfoil on teh bottom of it.)
window cleaned
floor hoovered and mopped
spill cloths, tea towel, mop heads all washed.

kitchen and hall need hoovered and mopped most days as i have a dog and 2 dcs who run in and out all day long.

i try to do at least a wash a day and keep on top of the dishes and counter tops. the dcs room is teh hardes to keep clean as they just seem to mess it so quickly.
