black mould on sealant - help!

HG mould spray from Lakeland - is that the best thing for the job? My still quite new (1 year) bathroom basin has just started getting mould round the sealant around the plughole. I've sprayed it with HG but I think its bleaching it really, rather than getting rid of it. It soon comes back. What else could I do?

Help from the experts on here would be great. TIA.

I've used dettol mould and mildew spray which Is quite good. had a lot of mould.problems in our old house. Or you could scrape it off and put new sealant in?

Someone might have better luck than I did, but I tried lots of stuff and ended up replacing sealant . I only say that to avoid the product pile up I had whilst trying to remove ours. Managed to get it off grout but not sealant. Hope you have much better luck.

Dunno then, seemed to do the trick with ours. Sorry.

I had this badly. Get a mould & mildew remover spray and spray morning & night for about a week. No scrubbing, it just all 'fell off'! Needed a good rinse. This was on the sealant in our shower.

Cotton wool or kitchen roll soaked in domestos and left overnight works a treat. Never needed any extra special chemicals.

Really, really-can I really get rid of the new lot of mould I've now got on the new sealant? I have got my hopes up now-off to try overnight bleach!
