we have a new wooden work-topped kitchen and I'm not sure whether I can use normal products on it. I usually just use Cif anti-bacterial but although it doesn't say anything on the label i am wondering if it might be a bit harsh for wood. In my old house the wooden worktop gradually faded and I think it might have been beacause i cleaned it too much!! We did oil it every few months but it still became very faded - bit like a scrubbed top 
How can I make sure my new wooden workstop stays looking lovely for years?!
