About to move into a new house, it is ALL shiny wooden floors - what's the best way of keeping them dust free, clean and looking naice? Not like you can just run a Hoover over them - is it?

Also have no mops, brooms, cleaning equipment of any kind due to moving abroad and currently living in services apartments. If you were to start fin scratch like this, what are your top cleaning tips? As earth and family friendly as poss, ideas for order of cleaning rooms/things, anything that you can think of! Have obviously run a home before, but thinking this is a good opportunity to instill new good habits and learn stuff like how to use bicarb for cleaning!!

Are all the rooms at the same level? I'd be tempted to get a Roomba hoover and let it loose Grin

We have a lot of wooden floors and hoover (Henry) first, then use a steam mop.

I'm interested to find out about this. I've got polished and sealed floorboards downstairs, and the hall area looks a bit tatty. Any ideas how to get its lustre back?
