Using fairy liquid to mop floors?

I bought some Ecover washing up liquid so that I can use the water to water my flowers (hosepipe ban area). Can I use my leftover fairy liquid to mop the floors and for general cleaning? I don't really see why not, has anybody tried this?

It will make it sticky.

I do this, it's fine. Just don't use lots.

I use wash up liquid for most cleaning jobs around the house, bugs me when the supermarkets try and suggest that we need to buy so many different cleaners

It's fine. Bio washing detergent is amazing.

I use it to wash my floors. I only use a tiny, tiny amount though. Works fine.

I use washing up liquid with a splash of bleach or bio washing powder to clean my floors. Provided you don't use loads of it it washes the floor fine.

You can also put your left over washing up water on the plants with any WUL in it not just ecover - it doesn't do them any harm (my mother has always had a thing about wasting water and has done this for years - she has a beautiful garden!)

Thanks, ladies! Off to start my major pre-Easter clean now. Will give fairy a good go!
