what "extra" jobs can I ask my cleaner to do?

I'm away for 8 days from tomorrow, my cleaner comes on Thurs afternoons.

What additional jobs can I ask her to do next week? I'm not sure if she does ironing. Am a domestic slattern so nothing occurs to me, the house looks fine to me after the weekly once-round that she does.

windows inside & out & frames (mould), dusting, cleaning cupboards, laundry, moving furniture to vacuum behind, inside of bins, skirting boards.

I would say ironing. Surely all cleaners can iron? I no longer have a cleaner but for the many years I did the ironing was number 1 priority Wink

hmm fridge is good, she does dusting and skirtng boards and beds already.

Could get her doing insides of cupboards and shelves I guess. Ironing would be really good I will leave her some and see what happens.

thanks!

If you would like to do some ironing, you should, ask, not just leave it lying around.

do you want stuff ironed and folded, or ironed and hung? do you want the ironed stuff put in the airing cupboard?

You need a list of jobs

  • every time (e.g. clean bathroom, hoover stairs)
  • once a month (e.g. clean oven, swab fridge, polish silver, inside windows - do one from this list each week)
  • once a year (ceiling cobwebs, kitchen cupboards)
