Nothing else in dishwasher. Hot wash.

Will it work?!

i do. never had a problem

I've done it before. What is it you're worried about?

SoupDragon · 03/04/2012 13:06

I have done but, TBH, it was far easier and more effective to wash it in the sink.

SoupDragon · 03/04/2012 13:07

You're going to put the DW on a hot was just for the washing machine drawer? Confused

Seriously, just use a sink of water and a brush - it's quicker!

TheNewandImprovedMrsHollywood · 03/04/2012 13:09

Laziness, mainly. And a desire not to have to touch the manky bits.

Also, isn't it a good thing to occasionally do a hot wash in the dishwasher?

Thanks for replies, by the way.

I don't think a hot wash will make a blind bit of difference TBH.

I did try it once, thinking it would save time, but it did crap job of it and I had to hand wash it anyway. I think I put it in at the same time I did a wash with one of those cleaning tablets.

TheNewandImprovedMrsHollywood · 03/04/2012 13:35

Well, I'm giving it a go. Aside from wasting time, energy and hot water, I have nothing to lose!

Thanks again.

You know those "manky bits" are mainly just washing powder, right? Put your rubber gloves on, take a deep breath, and clean it in the sink!

sleepysox · 05/04/2012 13:03

Fab idea. I'm going to give this a go too.

bung in the dishwasher with the bin lid - 2 birds, 1 stone

TheNewandImprovedMrsHollywood · 10/04/2012 21:25

Bin lid in the dishwasher?! Fab.

Did the Veet in the shower plug hole thing last weel, too. God, I love MN!

Veet in the shower plug Grin

WHY WHY WHY has no one told me that before. Genius I tell you, genius!

Auntiestablishment · 10/04/2012 21:29

I did, together with a load of dinner plates. It was MUCH better than a brush in the sink and the plates don't taste of manky fabric conditioner either.
